Baby Friendly Chicken Fajitas

Very little prep work & hands-on time go into making these easy sheet pan chicken fajitas! Includes instructions to use either fresh or frozen chicken breasts.

Instructions

  • For this recipe, you will be setting aside some of the ingredients to prepare the specially for baby.
  • Get out a small baking dish for baby's portion of food. Prepare the fajita oil, omitting the salt, chili powder, and half the smoked paprika. Place 1-2 tsp of fajita oil in baby's dish. Add the salt, chili powder, and the rest of the smoked paprika to the fajita oil to use for the family's meal. Prepare the chicken, onion, and peppers as directed. Place a small amount of chicken, onion, and peppers in baby's baking dish and turn to coat with the oil. Bake as directed. Add in black beans and lime juice when directed.

For a 6 Month Old Baby

  • Cut the chicken into finger size strips. Smush the black beans and place in a Gootensil. Offer the onions and peppers as is (make sure they are quite soft). For a 9 Month Old Baby

  • Dice the chicken. Offer the black beans, onions, and peppers as is (make sure they are quite soft). Optional: Prepare the Green Pea Guacamole from our Whole Food Recipes for your Baby E-book to dip the chicken and veggies in. Offer baby shredded cheese. Skip offering baby the tortilla.
